Towards the beginning of my career in digital design, I was a contractor at several ad agencies, primarily in Manhattan. During that time I also primarily worked on digital campaigns and building web apps. I've built e-commerce stores from the ground up. I've created interactive micro-sites and ads for some of the biggest brands (Tylenol, Volvo, Ford, Estée Lauder) seen by millions of people. I've created internal tools for companies like Sony. I've also created motion graphics for national campaigns for companies such as Sharp and Fujifilm. My specialty at the time was Flash, Wordpress, & Magento.

Sony Signature Video

Sony Signature Video

This video was created for the new line of Sony Signature laptops. This video displayed in several in-store displays at flagship electronics stores throughout the Tri-State area. I created all the motion in After Effects and directed the 3D animator for any 3D assets I needed.

Sony Tablet

To launch their first Sony Tablet, we were asked to create an in-store video asset that would play in Best Buy and Walmart. I did the storyboard for this project as well as the final motion graphics while directing the 3D artist along the way.

Sony asked us to create a video to educate customers on the benefits of streaming content. This video was played nationally in Walmart stores to help promote Sony products. I followed the creative director’s storyboards and created the motion in After Effects.

While working Carlucci Design, one of our perennial clients was CLEAR before being acquired by Sprint. CLEAR’s business model revolved around wireless hotspots and was one of the leaders of 4G internet access before it was even in most cellphones.
During this time, I worked on their company website, numerous micro-sites, banner ads, and printed collateral.
For the websites and banner ads, I would animate and program them in Flash based on the creative director’s designs. I worked with the printer to come up with die cuts that were exported out of inDesign. These are just a few of my favorite designs I created.

Another prime client during my time at Carlucci Design was Fujifilm. I worked on numerous micro-sites that helped to launch their higher-end cameras. As a team, we would brainstorm potential site concepts, technologies, and styles. All done in Flash, I programmed and animated each site based on storyboards from the creative director.

My first position in the Bay Area, I came on board at The Linus Group to help redesign the Covidien website. Design began with creating wireframes for client approval and went all the way to final pixel polishing of the final UI. When each page was approved, I then handed it off to the web development team to make it live. I also helped created print collateral as well to compliment the site.

While working at Carlucci Design, I created several Sharp in-store videos to help promote the TVs that the videos would play directly on. I created several storyboards and exported many final projects to DVD. These videos, such as the Quattron campaign with George Takei, would play in national retailers like Best Buy and Fry’s.

I was brought onboard at Deutsch to help with programming and animating banner ads for a big national Tylenol campaign. I worked directly with an art director to conceptualize and build the ads in Flash.  During the 3 months working there, I built out roughly 180 ad variants of all different types and sizes. It great working with such a big brand and team and seeing the print team’s Tylenol Ads in the subway on my way to work in Manhattan to finish up the digital campaign later that month.

Over the course of 5 months during a freelance project, I worked at an agency that was the only source for all Circuit City’s digital marketing. A small shop, it allowed us to wear a lot of hats during the campaigns. Working with the copyrigher, we would choose different themes and catch phrases and storyboard concepts for show to their marketing department. Once they narrowed it down to a few, we’d animate and program the ads in Flash. I would often take full ownership from first design all the way to final delivery of 18 ad size variates. At the time, Circuit City was spending huge amounts of money to place on campaigns and I would see my ads just about everywhere including the homepage of Engadget and Gizmodo on a daily basis.
